Finally Finished

Well.........Today I decided that I would complete my fountain that I started a few months ago....

Some assembly required....

All of the parts for my fountain are from yard sales me and the LOML
have gone to...

I needed just the right items to complete it........I guess that is why it took so long to complete......the initial fountain was going to be something simple, with me being the Simple Man......but, sometimes you have to go all out........

So to my friends I present to you.......(drum roll)..........

Howdy

Howdy fellow members of the blog nation. I have not done a blog since January and figured it was time to do one. The fountain that was going to be completed by Valentine's Day is still under construction with some major changes since the original conception. Tomorrow I will have my hair cut and donate it to Locks of Love, the LOML (Love of my Life) will be taking pictures I am sure to share on her blog. Once it is cut I will start again growing it out. Lot's to talk about but so much to do around the house today. Good luck Griffen on your Trike a Thon, I know you will do well.

I hope everybody has a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year....and I will try to finish my fountain before Valentine's Day

the back yard fence project

startin' to take shape...

this gives you an idea of the finished pump for the fountain...

Question for my fellow bloggers - should the base and pump be left natural color or painted....if painted what color

Evolution of a simple fountain

I have been wanting a fountain for the front yard and have priced a few. WOW they are expensive. So I told the LOML (Love of My Life) Bonnie that I was going to build one. Now came the decision of something fancy, something that I had seen or something simple. With me being the Simple Man the answer was simple.
We found this tub at a yard sale and talked about using it as a planter or maybe washing the dogs. After looking at it I decided it would be the start of a simple yard fountain.

It is amazing what you can find at yard sales. I found this hand pump still in the box and never used for $12. The rusty cogs in my simple brain started turning. I told the LOML that I could use the pump as part of the fountain.

Let the construction begin...........
